Introducing a new series where we shine a light on the incredible teachers behind
Studio Odette.
We’re kicking things off with Catinka - our founder and lifelong dancer. She has performed with the Royal Swedish Opera in productions including Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, and has taught ballet to dancers of all ages and levels, from first steps to advanced training.
Her experience, care, and passion shape everything we do in the studio, and we’re so proud to share some insights with you!
What inspired you to start dancing?
Movement has always been important to me. Ballet gave me a way to express emotion, discipline, and creativity at the same time. From the day I put on my first ballet shoes, I’ve never wanted to stop exploring its possibilities.
What do you hope dancers take with them from your classes?
Confidence, strength and joy!
I want every dancer to leave feeling a sense of community with the other dancers and our teachers. I also hope it gives them the opportunity to feel more connected to themselves.
What makes Studio Odette special to you?
Studio Odette is built on care. It’s a place where dancers are supported as a whole - physically, mentally and emotionally.
Progress here is personal, focusing on individual growth and development.
